Technical staff will standby at the center, and based on the signal to give out instructions accordingly to driver and staffs in a timely manner. Especially when there is a traffic accident or a technical problem to the bus, the center will reroute the buss or mobilize other one to serve the passenger quickly.
Director of the Hanoi Urban Transport Management and Operation Center Nguyen Hoang Hai said: “The launch of Bus management center will have significant meanings to the development of bus system in urban area toward the direction of modern and civilization, at the same time it also simplifies the public transport management in an efficient way”.
Along with the bus management center, the searching bus application in smartphone called Timbuyt has also been introduced by Transerco. At present, the Timbuyt application has been available in the appstore of both Android and iOS system, using both English and Vietnamese. This is a free application with many useful function for users.

The application is design for user friendly, which is easy to use. Out of the 4 function, the first is searching for bus route, which will help user to find the optimized route without having to know beforehand all bus routes in Hanoi. As such, user only need to fill in the starting point and destination, then the application will provide with the fastest route, along with which bus number, where to get on, as well as the distance, time and frequency.
The second function is online monitoring, for which user can monitor the online location and the route of the bus on the map. User will have information on the bus route through each bus stop, the plate number and estimated time to the next stop. The application even send notification for user when the bus is approaching the bus stop. Third function is bus information. User can search for the activities of bus in the network with operation time, traveling map and price ticket, as well as bus office to buy the month ticket. The last function is customer support. This will be useful for customer when they will notify user on the bus stop, which will prevent user from getting out at the wrong bus stop. At present, both the bus management center and Timbuyt application can be applied to bus routes of Transerco. “some bus routes of other bus operators such as Bao Yen, Bac Ha, Dong Anh, Hai Van, Ha Tay have not yet provided us information and GPS data to included in the applicaiton” – Mr. Trung said.
