It helps the PM to monitor, guide and urge the implementation of the digitized Vietnamese knowledge system project nationwide as well as proposes measures and solutions to mobilizing resources, especially businesses to join the establishment of the digitized Vietnamese knowledge system.
The committee enhances communications and education to raise the awareness of the status and role of the digitized Vietnamese knowledge system in the development of each sector in the context of the fourth industrial revolution.
Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam is the head of the committee. Three deputy heads include Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh, General Director of Viettel Corporation Nguyen Manh Hung and First Secretary of the 11th Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong.
Members of the committee consist of leaders from the Government Office, the Ministries of Information and Technology, Education and Training, Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Health, Agriculture and Rural Development and Justice, Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology, Viet Nam Academy of Social Science, Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Viet Nam National University of Ha Noi.
Earlier on May 18, the PM has recently approved a project on developing a digitized Vietnamese knowledge system, with the goal of building a digitized knowledge system via the synthesis, systematization, Vietnamization, digitization, storage and dissemination of knowledge in all fields.
The project looks to support education, innovation and other areas directly relating to the people's life, such as law, healthcare and production techniques, while creating a favorable environment to draw people and businesses' engagement in both exploiting and enriching Viet Nam's digitized knowledge resources.
It also aims to ignite and spread people's passion for science and technology as well as their desire to make innovation and contributions, step by step contributing to developing Viet Nam's digital content industry and orientating people's use of knowledge in the Internet environment.
