Showcasing renewable energy technologies in upcoming RE & EE Vietnam 2017

The 3rd edition of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Vietnam - RE & EE Vietnam will take place from 8 -10 November, 2017 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC), Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.

During 3 day - exhibition, the Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Exhibition (RE & EE) Vietnam 2017 will be featured by various industrial technologies, innovations, solutions and new products in all segments of renewable energy industry such as Solar, Hydro, Geothermal, Wind, Biomass Energy and energy efficiency industry; welcoming several international pavilions, including mainland China, the EU, Finland, Germany, Taiwan, SME Tokyo, Singapore and the UK.

This show will also highlight a wide range of of new technologies for photovoltaic modules, the conversion of sludge to renewable energy, multi-fuel power, hydropower stations, biogas, biomass, thermal insulation and energy efficiency. According to Director of Renewable Energy Department, the General Department of Energy Pham Trong Thuc: “Vietnam’s renewable energy market is forecasted to have high potential, and the right energy policies are expected to be implemented to optimize benefits from renewable energy. Therefore, the Renewable Energy Development Strategy aims to achieve 32.3% of the total renewable energy consumption (TOE) by 2030 and enable Vietnam to reduce its greenhouse gas emission (as co-benefit) by 25% in 2030. Most households will have access to modern, sustainable and reliable energy services with reasonable prices in 2030.”

More than exhibition, RE & EE Vietnam 2017 will create business platform with many tailored activities such as B2B Networking and Technical Seminars for all business partners, investors, industrial players & professionals to exchange knowledge & network with local and international enterprises.

Ms. Eliane van Doorn, Business Development Director (ASEAN Business), UBM Asia, the organizer of RE & EE Vietnam said, "Climate change is not just an environmental issue. It is a development issue, which has enormous economic and social consequences. The challenge for the region's developing countries is whether they can switch to a less polluting pattern of production while maintaining the growth and development they require. In Vietnam the energy demand is projected to increase by more than 10 percent annually in the next five years and requires power capacity to double; the government is moving forward to develop the renewable energy sources to ensure energy security and addressing the growing power demand. Hence, we are excited that our RE&EE Exhibition will bring several potential solutions for the Energy Sector."

As the relationship between water and energy production is extremely close and co-dependent, UBM Asia organizes RE&EE Vietnam together with VIETWATER, Vietnam's leading international water supply, sanitation, water resources and purification event.

According to Ms. Adina Tauyatswala, Deputy Director of EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN), one of the partners of RE & EE Vietnam, "The companies joining our European pavilion aim to find professional and experienced distributors for their products; to build connections regarding big energy infrastructure projects such as solar parks and wind parks, as well as to research and develop the partnerships with Vietnamese research institutes and companies."

In line with the exhibition, some free-to-attend sessions at technical seminars will take place during the three-day event.  At the conference, with the theme "Towards developing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Vietnam", industry experts will present their experience of operating and managing some of the recent renewable energy projects in Vietnam, and will give the latest updates on the new policies and incentives in Vietnam.

RE & EE Vietnam 2017 is the most comprehensive energy trade event in Vietnam and belongs to the successful energy series organized by United Business Media (UBM), which includes Renewable Energy Asia (Thailand), Renewable Energy India, Myanmar’s Leading Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Exhibition and Philippine’s Leading Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

As such, the 3rd exhibition is supported by EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN), Energy Conservation Center Ho Chi Minh City (ECC-HCM), Vietnam Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Association (VECEA), and Vietnam Automation Association (VAA) that opens opportunities to connecting and learning from local and international associations.
