The "Snapping Hanoi" challenge encourages residents and visitors to explore the city's cultural and historical landmarks while wearing the ao dai.
Launched on August 6, "Snapping Hanoi with Ao Dai" has attracted nearly 1,000 works from 500 authors to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024).
The works were taken by the authors at historical sites and scenic spots in Hanoi, showing the charm of Vietnamese women in Ao dai.

The challenge encourages residents and visitors to explore the city's cultural and historical landmarks while wearing the Ao dai.
Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasized that this event will honor and preserve the cultural significance of the traditional Vietnamese ao dai.
Together with "Snapping Hanoi" with Ao Dai Challenge, which is part of the series of activities of Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2024 organized by the Hanoi People's Committee, Hanoi Ao Dai Month 2024 will be held from October 1 to October 20. This is an activity to arouse love and aspiration to develop the capital and build a "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Hanoi.
In particular, on the morning of October 5, the Hanoi Women's Union will hold a folk dance performance and Ao Dai carnival at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel under the theme "Women of the Capital: Integration and Development".
In addition, 1,000 women in the capital will perform a folk dance medley of 3 songs "Hanoi People - Marching to Hanoi - Hanoi Constructions", and more than 70,000 women of all ages will participate in a folk dance event.
A major highlight is the Ao Dai Carnival on the morning of October 5, a large parade organized by the Hanoi Women's Union with an estimated 1,500 women participating. The parade will start from the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and pass through major streets before returning to the citadel.
There will be an exchange with women entrepreneurs and the presentation of "Capital's Golden Lotus" awards to artisans from Hanoi's craft villages and streets.
The Hanoi Women's Start-up and Innovation Festival will showcase local agricultural products and provide a forum to engage women in shaping a peaceful and creative city.
