PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday called for faster restructuring of the State-owned enterprises (SOEs) while presiding over the Government’s monthly meeting.
He urged the inferior levels to focus on equitization and withdrawal of State capital from non-core business fields.
There must be positive changes in restructuring SOEs in 2014, the Government chief ordered.
The Government set the target to equitize 432 SOEs during the 2014-2015 period at a conference on restructuring SOEs held in Ha Noi on February 18.
PM Dung also asked for effective implementation of social welfare policies, poverty reduction programs, especially those for ethnic minorities.
Public administration reform, especially administrative procedures need to be further accelerated to create most favorable conditions for citizens and businesses.
During the one-day meeting, the Cabinet members also discussed on the realization of the Resolution adopted 6th Plenum of the 10th Party Central Committee on improving institutions for socialist-oriented market economy institutions, the draft Resolution on key tasks and solutions to improve business environment and national competitiveness in the 2014-2015 period.
