Strengthening Hanoi - Kyunggi Province cooperation

​On February 22, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc hosted reception for Chairman of Kyunggi Province (South Korea) Lee Hwan Seol.

At the meeting, City Council President Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc has information on the status of Hanoi's recent economic development. With a population of over 10 million people, economic growth, Hanoi has reached over 8% of average GDP and 10% of budget revenues, comparing to 20% nationwide; security and political situation, social security are also ensured to be positive. Achievements on the contribution of the City Council's executive next to the MPC.

Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said that Hanoi has established relationships with more than 100 capitals, provinces and cities of the countries in the world. Appreciating the progress in relations between Korea and Vietnam, Ms. Ngoc affirmed that Korean community in Vietnam, especially Hanoi is making great contributions to the development of the country as well as the Capital. At the same time, the Chairwoman of City Council wants the two countries, two provinces and cities will enhance expansion of investment activities, development of benefit to both sides.

Chairman of Kyunggi Province (Korea) Lee Hwan Seol expressed his impression on Hanoi's development achievements, confirmed that as a result of the efforts of the executive steering of the City Council. Lee Hwan Seol also expects that the visit will be an opportunity for the Council of Kyunggi Province to learn and share management experience.

Sharing longstanding history and relations between Korea and Vietnam, Kyunggi Province Council Chairman said that relations between the two countries is growing and wants to reach new achievements with Vietnam and Hanoi. At the mean time, Hanoi wants to continue to expand policy and further investment, attract more South Korean enterprises to invest in Vietnam.

After the meeting, the delegation of Kyunggi Province Council and Hanoi People's Council attended the seminar with the topic of sharing experiences on organizations and activities.
