Strengthening Vietnam-Japan cooperation in education and training
On May 4, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Hiroshi Hase of Japan in Hanoi.

At the reception, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed the signing of the cooperative strategy on education between Viet Nam and Japan, as an evidence of the two nations' success in this field. He suggested the two sides enhance cooperation in culture, sports, science, technology and other potential areas.
He expected that Japan will continue its support for Viet Nam in human resource training and development, enehancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations’ universities and providing preferential Official Development Assistance (ODA) to upgrade universities in Viet Nam.
Minister Hiroshi Hase affirmed that he will do his utmost to promote the cooperation in all fields, adding that Japan will establish a foundation to launch the Japanese education model in Viet Nam and receive Vietnamese doctors to Japan to do research in cancer treatment in the future. He hoped that cooperation in science, technology, education and training, the long-term cooperation between the two sides, will make more contributions to the two nations’ relations.
