Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh has affirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to boosting friendship and all-round cooperation with Qatar, especially in trade and investment.

Deputy PM Minh made the statement when receiving Mhammed Bin Abdullah Bin Mutib Al Rumaihi, Assistant Foreign Minister of Qatar in Ha Noi on February 10. He expressed his pleasure with positive developments in bilateral relations following visits of the two countries’ leaders.

Both countries should enhance the realization of bilateral agreements, particularly those reached during Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s visit to Qatar in December 2014, Deputy PM Minh said. The Government official also expressed his hope that the Qatari PM and Foreign Minister will visit Viet Nam as soon as possible.

For his part, Al Rumaihi spoke highly of Viet Nam’s achievements in national construction and development. He affirmed that Qatar places importance to developing multi-faceted cooperation relations with Viet Nam and proposed Viet Nam continue cooperation with Qatar in trade, investment, agriculture and labor. The guest conveyed the Qatari Foreign Minister’s invitation to visit Qatar to Deputy PM Minh.
