Swiss investors keen on Vietnam's market

Switzerland has poured US$1.94 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 101 projects in Viet Nam, according to Foreign Investment Agency (FIA).


 
The manufacturing sector took lead among 14 sectors Switzerland investing in Viet Nam with US$1.64 billion in 36 projects. Swiss investors invested in 16 out of 63 localities nationwide. Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City attracted the lion’s share of FDI at US$97 million in 20 projects and US$67 million in 45 projects respectively.

Switzerland was the 18th largest foreign investor in the country with an average FDI of roughly US$19.2 million per project.
