Symphony orchestra to perform in HCMC

The Paris symphony orchestra will perform at Saigon Opera House on October 30 as part of its autumn tour around Asia.

Under the baton of Paavo Järvi, over 30 artists from the orchestra will play symphony No. 83 written by Haydn, Holberg by Grieg, works by Roussel and Fauré, symphony No. 33 by Mozart.

The event is within the framework of “France Year in Vietnam 2013”.

Under the baton of Charles Munch, the Paris symphony orchestra was established in November 1967 and has been invited to perform in New York, London, Vienne, Berlin, Amsterdam, Northern Europe, Russia, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

As music director of the Paris symphony orchestra since 2010, Paavo Järvi helped the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra to win the Grammy Award for the first time.
