By 2025, Hanoi would complete the digital infrastructure that serves as a platform for the development of digital government and economy.
Online payment is essential as the government targets to provide at least 30% of online public services at advanced stages of 3 and 4 in 2020.
As many as 70.35% of Vietnamese people have access to Internet, a significant increase from the 46.5% in 2018.
Decrees on data privacy protection, e-authorization and verification are expected to be completed this year.
E-government is an inevitable trend and a right direction towards a prosperous Vietnam, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Enhanced transport infrastructure would help expand the development to Hanoi’s southern part and form economic triangles of Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh and Hanoi – Thanh Hoa – Nghe An.
Hanoi has made strong efforts to reducing informal charges, create a fair business environment and improve provincial leadership in solving problems for enterprises, said an expert.
In addition to supporting policies, Hanoi has also offered substantial measures to improve the business environment, including a focus on e-government development to save costs and time for enterprises.
Starting from this year, Hanoi would publicize results of public satisfaction and administrative reform index of local agencies on an annual basis.
