According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, the contests, running from August 20 to 26, are practical activities that contribute to preserving and promoting the identity and values of Vietnam's cultural heritage.

This is an opportunity for art troupes to find and nurture the next generation of artists and actors, and in fact, many talented artists and actors with a high level of acting skills have been found through the contests, while the works of art depicted deeply the cultural life, customs and subtleties in art and culture, Dong said.

Artists and actors also exchanged experiences, cultivated knowledge, and improved professional qualifications and quality of dance, puppetry and drama performances.

"In addition to the success of the contest, we must take stock to identify the development directions of each art form in accordance with the new situation, so as to preserve the soul of each art form, while making it evolve and develop according to the trend of society and international integration," said Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong.
