Tasting exquisite Italian food at “The World Week of Italian Cuisine”

The event aims at introducing the Italian culture and history through its extraordinary food to people around the world, including the Vietnamese.

The World Week of Italian Cuisine will take place in Vietnam from November 22 to 28.

The event aims to promote Italian culinary culture and products and the Mediterranean diet, which is at the heart of Italian identity and way of life.

The Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City cooperates with the Faculty of Italian Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City to hold an exclusive dinner entitled “Italian meal with the poet’s aesthetic spirit” on November 22, at Red & Round Restaurant, District 7, HCMC.

Next, two Italian fairs will be held at AEON Mall Tan Phu City. Ho Chi Minh City (from December 9 to 12) and at AEON Mall Hanoi (From December 16 to 19) with the participation of Italian food importers and distributors. The events will be opened to the public.

The Italian Cuisine Week in the World is an initiative involving the whole network of 296 diplomatic and consular missions and Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide to promote the Italian culinary culture, which is at the core of the Mediterranean diet and so central to the Italian identity and lifestyle. Over a thousand events will be organized around the world during the week to promote Italian cuisine and its regional varieties.

The theme of the 2021 edition, “Tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine: the awareness and enhanced appreciation of food sustainability”, combines the promotion of Italian agri-food products with an enhanced appreciation of the Mediterranean Diet as a model of a healthy and sustainable diet and lifestyle.
