A day-long event in the style of the world-renown TED talks for people who care about ideas, connections and curiosity.
TEDx will be returning to Hanoi on Sunday 16 April, boasting an impressive line up of local and international speakers including savvycomsoftware.com CEO Thanh Van Dang, Jimmy Pham of KOTO fame and Tran Hong Nhung, the founder of award-winning social enterprise, Zo Project.
Held at the Hanoi Star Galaxy Theater, TEDxBaDinh will bring together up to 350 people who care about ideas, connections and curiosity, to enjoy a day-long event in the style of the world-renown TED talks.
TEDxBaDinh 2017 is themed IDEA – Inspiration, Direction, Execution and Appreciation – and the experts taking the stage at this event include:
• Alexander Furunes (Norway): architect and co-founder of design collective WORKSHOP
• Chau Nguyen (Vietnam): Social entrepreneur
• Dr Bill Chang (Taiwan): Chief Scientific Officer of Premaitha Health
• Dr Paul Brown (UK): psychologist
• Dr Tran Thi Hoang (Vietnam): Paediatrician, Deputy director of Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children and the Head of its Neonatal Unit.
• Jason Lusk (US): Clickspace founder and tourism consultant
• Jon Dallas (US): theatre performer and ESL teacher
• Jordan Ashley (US): Souljourn Yoga Foundation founder
• Manuel der Hagopian (Switzerland): Co-founder of group8asia
• Narayan Silva (Brazil): Knowmads Hanoi facilitator and educator
• Stefan Phang (Singapore): Sealed Air’s Global Corporate Responsibility Director
• Ta Minh Tuan (Vietnam): tech entrepreneur and one of Forbes 30 under 30
• Vi Do (Vietnam): former street kid, now proud father, photography and Crisis Care Lead for Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation.
Attendees will hear talks on how Vietnam has the potential to radically improve its tourism industry through local innovation, how playing games can be one of the most powerful tools imaginable and why traditional education must change to respond to a the world we now live in. They will be inspired to lead more fulfilling lives through stories of building successful social enterprises from the ground up and lessons learned from creating global businesses. All talks will be in English.
There will also be performances by the Bamboo Orchestra, improv comedy troupe Rotten Grapes and electronic musician Pablo Yang, plus a series of wellness workshops and much more.
Early bird tickets are now available for VND 1,000,000 until 2 April, before they go up to their regular price of VND 1,200,000. Event tickets include entrance to all the talks and workshops, refreshments, a buffet lunch and a gift bag full of goodies from our kind sponsors. As TEDxBaDinh is a non-profit, the cost of the ticket goes entirely into producing the event.
