The 53rd Meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation (AWGIPC) began in Hanoi on July 17.
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Viet Thanh said the AWGIPC has completed built an action programme for intellectual property in 2016-2025. This aims to reach targets under the master plan of building the ASEAN Economic Community by 2025, he noted.
The programme aims to improve the ASEAN business and investment environment. Founded in 1967, the 10-member ASEAN groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
