The Capital to deploy the school healthcare in the 2017-2018

The Hanoi People’s Committee issued the Plan No.194/KH-UBND on August 25 on deploying the school health task in the 2017 - 2018 school year in the Capital city.


 

Under the plan, the Municipal People’s Committee sets up following key targets and missions: 

100% of schools and education establishments will have their own clinic rooms to care for students’ health; 100% of schools will have health staffs as stipulated by law; 100% of preschools and second and high schools will provide health checkups to students; 100% of sick cases will be informed to their families for treatment; 

100% of districts and towns will implement typical communication models on improving health, preventing diseases in schools, contributing to gradually reducing popular diseases in students; monitoring and evaluating the nutritional status; jointly deploying the School Milk Program in preschools and primary schools;


 
Paying attention to investing and upgrading infrastructure in schools meeting standards, such as classrooms, functional rooms, desks, teaching and studying equipments; ensuring environmental sanitation in schools, clean water supply systems in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training; investigating and evaluating the school health work in schools;

Strengthening the direction, inspection of food safety and hygiene assurance in schools, canteens; jointly providing meals to students to ensure nutrition and food safety; gradually applying software in setting up menu in primary schools, etc; 

Promoting the prevention of school injury, especially drowning; integrating school health activities with other programs such as expanded immunization, malnutrition control, etc.

It is essential to ensure infrastructure, medical equipments, essential medicines and other necessary condition in order to take care of students’health.
