Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai has required Tay Ho district to implement the effective management of the West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. The city authorities have assigned the district to research the renovating of pedestrian streets around the West Lake to create more pedestrian corridor.

In the recent years, the district’s urban face has seen significant transformation with numerous national and municipal projects.
In 2016, the district’s revenues from tourism, trade and services of Tay Ho district rose by 21.5% in the comparison with a year ago.
The budget revenue of the district last year reached more than 2.7 trillion VND. The district has 4,494 enterprises and 5,210 household businesses.
Despite the rapid rate of urbanisation, the district still preserves many traditional villages with famous products such as Nhat Tan peach flowers, Tu Lien kumquat trees and Quang An lotus tea.
Secretary Hoang Trung Hai highly appreciated the efforts and achievements made by the Tay Ho Party Committee and people over the past time, especially as the district accomplished its socio-economic targets set for 2016.
The Secretary urged the district to accelerate the development pace of trade, services and tourism towards improving the quality, efficiency and sustainability.
He stressed that the district should attach importance to promoting trade, tourism and high-quality tourism ventures, expanding and diversifying new tourism products and strictly solving cases of deceitful behavior against foreign tourists.
