The Ministry of Education recognizes students awarded the International Olympic

At the ceremony, 45 students with outstanding achievements in learning are honored and received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training.

On the evening of November 30, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony to commend students awarded the International Olympic and students with high results of National High School exams in 2015. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung attended and congratulated the excellent performance that are very proud of the students and the teachers.

At the ceremony, 45 students with outstanding achievements in learning are honored and received certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training. While 28 students participating in international Olympiads and the region and has achieved 12 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 6 bronze medals and awards in the Olympiad.

Especially, there are 27 medals in Mathematics, including one gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze medals at the four-day competition that attracted the participation of students from 40 nations around the globe. The students from Giang Vo, Cau Giay, Trung Vuong Secondary Schools and 13 primary schools in the Hoan Kiem District of Hanoi also had ample opportunity to explore China and do some sightseeing.

“It was a lot of fun participating in the competition and traveling to China,” said Nguyen Duc Minh, a student from Giang Vo Secondary School who won a silver medal. “I was very nervous but am happy to have done well.” Minh competed in three rounds, each of which was ten minutes in length. He said the fast paced rounds helped him sharpen his critical thinking skills, as well as his calculation and geometrical abilities.

Speaking at the award ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung encouraged them to be cited today and continue to have much success on the way to conquer the peak of new knowledge; and hopes that they continue to assert themselves, to establish themselves, career and devote so much to the development, the prosperity of the country. NA Chairman proposed efforts to train students to become national talents so that the country is more prosperous and alongside with five continents as Uncle Ho eve wished.

In the reform period, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that the teachers and the education sector should consider education as a top national policy, special attention must train the younger generation; further develop their responsibility, together contribute their talent and wisdom to take care of "planting people career"; successful implementation of the renewal comprehensive basic education and training, education in Vietnam will be brought to new heights.
