"The service quality of Vietnam's airports to be reached world standards"
This is the desire of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as welcoming President and CEO of Paris Airports (Aeroports De Paris - ADP), Mr. Augustin de Romanet.
At the reception for Aeroports de Paris, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc Vietnam stressed that stands ready to open its airspace and welcomes foreign airline groups to invest in the sector amidst robust tourism boom.
The host leader hailed the French group for its interests and investments in Vietnam, especially in transport. He also lauded the agreement on strategic shareholders between the French group and the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam (ACV).
The Vietnamese Government, asserted PM Phuc, pledges to create every favorable way for the cooperation between ADP and ACV which would contribute to nurturing the bilateral ties in a more practical and effective fashion. He also hoped that the ADP’s partnership with the ACV would help promote the latter’s capacity of airport operation, thereby increasing the quality of services at local airports to the world level.
According to PM Phuc, Vietnam is one of few Asian countries that have provided e-visas. The country also enjoyed highly increasing number of tourists. Last year, Vietnam welcomed 10 million foreign tourists and expected to greet 17-20 million others by 2020. The higher demands would stimulate the growth of the aviation industry and the demand for upgrading airports.
For his part, Mr. Augustin de Romanet said his group wants to make long-term investment in Viet Nam and help modernize local airports – an important momentum for socio-economic development. The guest leader informed his host about the development of airports in France and considered this a useful experience for the Southeast Asian nation in airport upgrade and expansion. He also hoped for continued support from the Vietnamese Government and relevant agencies for the ADP’s activities in the country.
