The UAE passport ranks first in the world

This is one of the greatest achievements recorded by the diplomatic sector of the UAE in 2018.

The UAE passport has overtaken those of Singapore and Germany to become the most powerful passport in the world on December 1, according to the Passport Index.
UAE passport holders could enter 167 countries without the need for pre-visa requirement which does not only facilitate UAE nationals to travel freely for tourism but also for business and even humanitarian benefits.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE said in his remark “This achievement is a true reflection of the legacy of Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father of the UAE. It also underscores what can be achieved through positive diplomacy, reflecting the UAE as a confident and engaged force at the global stage”.
It is impressed that the UAE passport was ranked No. 27 in December 2016. In October this year, it rapidly notched higher to No. 4, then it went up to No. 3 on November 8.
The UAE passport power reaffirms and places the UAE country as an oasis for security, peace, political stability, development, and tolerance. It also gives the UAE nationals pride internationally for their good image and high sense of coexistence.
This prestigious achievement has more special meaning, as it coincides with the UAE celebration of the centennial of founding father of the United Arab Emirates and on the eve of the UAE 47th National Day, bringing more gladness and joy to the UAE nationals.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation launched the UAE Passport Force initiative to place the Emirati passport on the list of the five most powerful passports in the world by 2021, however, the country has achieved this goal three years before the dateline.
