The latest survey on labor force (2016) shows that the percentage of women is 9%, lower than that of men (71% versus 80.6%). At the national level, the female unemployment rate is quite similar to that of men, remaining low at 2.2% (compared with 2.4% for men), of which the unemployment rate of young women are slightly higher than that of men (7.5% and 7.38%, respectively).

The gender gap is particularly pronounced in terms of job type. In 2016, the proportion of self-employed and unpaid family workers is 12.4% higher than that for men. The average monthly income of men is 10.7%, higher than that of women.

In addition, this report also shows that women face significant gaps in the quality of employment.

For countries in the world, especially in emerging countries, the proportion of women engaged in domestic work has decreased over the past decade, which remains high in developing countries. 42% of total employment of women in 2018 is compared with 20% of total male employment and there is no sign of improvement until 2021.
