Thousands of people participated in the propaganda on HIV / AIDS

On November 29, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the People`s Committee of Bac Ninh province to celebrate national action month for HIV / AIDS in 2015 and the World Day against AIDS with the theme "Towards the 90-90-90 goal to end the AIDS epidemic in Vietnam."

Numerous youth union members, staffs, health workers in 10 provinces of the northern region attended the meeting. This is an opportunity to show its commitment and determination to unite the whole community to join hands to stop the spread of HIV / AIDS; gratitude for those who stand day and night, devote their best in the fight against HIV / AIDS at the same time, share the suffering and loss for families of the victims died of HIV / AIDS.

 
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said: "The HIV / AIDS continues to be a direct threat to the health and life of humans, affecting economic development economic and social order and safety of our race and the future of peoples. Currently in the world there are about 36.9 million people living with HIV and nearly 40 million have died of AIDS. 2015 is the 8th year, HIV / AIDS in Vietnam dropped all 3 criteria: reducing the number of people living with HIV, 
reducing the number of people switching stage AIDS and reducing the number of deaths from AIDS.

To get that result, Vietnam has implemented a comprehensive, effective intervention services for prevention, care, support and treatment for people with HIV / AIDS. Especially, the provision of consultancy services for HIV testing in community mobility were international organizations appreciated. With these achievements, Vietnam totally based strives 90-90-90 goals on HIV / AIDS by 2020 and towards the end the epidemic in 2030, proposed by the United Nations."

At the ceremony, Secretary of the Central Union Nguyen Phi Long has called each unionists, young people need is a pioneer in raising awareness, changing behavior of society about HIV / AIDS. Through concrete actions that raise awareness of the masses in the prevention, care and treatment of HIV / AIDS; reducing stigma and discrimination for people living with HIV, contributing to economic and social growing.

Soon, paintings exhibition of club "Bright Future fof Bac Ninh" was opened, more than 3,000 officers and public officials, armed forces, trade unionists, youth and people also joined the march propaganda on HIV / AIDS on the main roads of the city of Bac Ninh.
