Training course on investment, trade and tourism promotion opened in Hanoi
Hanoi Center of Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA) in collaboration with the Foreign Trade University has recently organized the opening ceremony of a training course on investment, trade and tourism promotion for the city’s officials.
The event saw the attendance of Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.
According to the Director of the HPA Center Nguyen Gia Phuong, over the past time, Hanoi has recorded several shortcomings, lack of background and professional knowledge of investment, trade and tourism promotion. Therefore, training human resource is considered as a key task in the current period of international economic integration. To enrich knowledge of investment, trade and tourism promotion for officials, from now until the end of June, 2017, the HPA Center and the Trade Foreign University will organize training courses for 150 officials of the Center, districts and towns.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung highly appreciated the organization of training courses which contribute to improving the quality of human resource in performing the promotion task in the capital city.
Chairman Chung also recommended that the HPA Center should continue replicating training models in other fields; focusing on training activities; inviting the world's leading experts to teach theoretical and practical knowledge of promotion activities, international integration in every agency, sector, level; concentrating on research activities, evaluation of potentials, markets, trends, investment partners with several key countries, such as: Japan, Korea, ASEAN countries, America, Singapore, Australia, etc, contributing to creating new position and power for Hanoi’s promotion performance, especially in the context of Vietnam's international integration as well as taking part in new free trade agreements.
Besides, the Chairman also suggested that after finishing the training course, the HPA Center should cooperate with the Trade Foreign University to review and give a report on sending the best students to participate in training courses; continue improving the capacity of implementing promotion activities in countries, such as Germany, Australia, Singapore, etc; assess results, cooperative efficiency and then give reports to Hanoi People’s Committee for its consideration, replication of cooperative models among universities and the Capital city.
