KTĐT - Miss Ngoc Lan Khue, 23, was crowned Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 at the contest's glitzy final in HCM city on January 5, with tens of millions of viewers throughout Vietnam watching on television.
Miss Khue from HCM city was flanked at the crowning by runner-up Pham Hong Thuy also from HCM city and Thi Le Quyen from Bac Lieu province, who came third in the annual competition. While beauty remains central to the contest, the young ladies participating are chiefly judged on their talents and involvement in good causes.
In the finale, Miss Khue topped all three talent events, but it was her answer in the final question and answer event that fully convinced the jury.
To the question, "If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be?" Miss Khue confidently replied:
"Mistakes are part of being human and we should learn to appreciate our mistakes for what they are, valuable life lessons. If I changed my mistakes and didn’t learn from them, I probably would not be standing here tonight".
With the title, Miss Khue will represent the nation to compete at Miss World 2015.
Miss Khue and Miss Thuy will also represent the country to compete at Miss International 2015 and Miss Suprational 2015.
