KTĐT - The ceremony for the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex to get UNESCO mixed natural and cultural recognition will take place on the evening of January 23, in Ninh Binh.
The ceremony will be broadcasted live on VTV1 chanel, Vietnamese Television.On January 5, the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee announced that a three-day celebration will be held January 22-24 at Bai Dinh Pagoda in honour of the event, to include the presentation ceremony.
A lot of activities will also be organized in Hoa Lu, Gia Vien and Ninh Binh city during the occasion including an international seminar on heritage preservation, an art exhibition and an introduction of stamp collection on Trang An heritage site, etc...
It is the first activity for National Tourism Year hosted by Thanh Hoa province, with the theme “Connecting World Heritage”.
Earlier on June 25, 2014, at the 38th meeting of the World Heritage Committee held in Qatar, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex was officially recognized by UNESCO as a mixed natural and cultural heritage of the world.
This is the first mixed natural and culturall heritage of Vietnam and the Southeast Asia recognized by UNESCO. Thereby it has confirmed the Vietnamese tremendous effort in the protection and preservation of cultural and natural heritage of the country and of all humanity.
