Trieu Thi Ha named UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador

Former beauty queen Trieu Thi Ha was inducted as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for a project aimed at preserving traditional Vietnamese culture at a ceremony held May 12 in HCM City.

“I am very proud to be appointed the ambassador for the project and will try my utmost to champion the nation’s traditional culture and elevate its image in the world,” Ha said at the induction ceremony.
 
Trieu Thi Ha, 23, is an ethnic Nung from the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang.
She graduated from the Economics and Business Administration University and was crowned Miss Ethnic Vietnam 2011.
The UNESCO project entitled – The beauty of Vietnam – aims to strengthen cultural values and enhance the nation’s traditional heritage among generations of Vietnamese and the international community.
