Ministry of Science and Technology to provide open data from 2021
The MoST will continue to check, summarise, evaluate the data status and information systems for data connection and sharing until the end of this year.
The Ministry of Science and Technology ((MoST) is expected to complete the task of building and promulgating its plan on providing open data in 2021 under the Decree 47/2020 of the Government.

The ministry has launched a plan to implement the Decree 47/2020 of the Government on management, connection and sharing of digital data among state agencies.
This plan includes 21 specific tasks that will be deployed in four working categories: setting up, promulgating or submitting to competent authorities for promulgating of documents and regulations to perform this decree; deploying works related to setting up, maintaining and sharing databases of the ministry; building infrastructure, management, connection and sharing of digital data as well as disseminating, inspecting, supervising and evaluating specific works.
The MoST will continue to check, summarise, evaluate the data status and information systems for data connection and sharing until the end of this year.
At the same time, the MoST will complete its review and propose a list of national databases to the Ministry of Information and Communications and Prime Minister for approval.
In the period of 2021-25, the MoST will build and issue its open data list as well as develop a data strategy at the ministerial level in accordance with the national strategy.
Every year, the Centre of Information and Technology and the database owning units of the MoST will register and provide information on data, open data; manage and exploit data and open data of the MoST on the national data portal.
Before the database is put into operation, the MoST will create a regulation on the exploitation and use of databases under the ministry's management.
