The contract for the EPC consultancy service, worth over 25.4 million USD, was signed by the
The 1,200 MW power plant, one of the country’s 16 key projects, will be built in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in the Ky Anh district of Ha Tinh province with a total investment of 1.17 billion USD.
The coal-fuelled plant is expected to put its first turbine into operation in August 2012 and the second at the beginning of 2013, adding nearly 8 billion kWh a year to the national grid.
