US$43.6-million eco-tourism resort to be built in Thanh Hoa

Thanh Hoa accepts the policy proposal of Lilama 18 Eco-Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company to invest in the construction of a four-season eco-tourism project in Hai Ninh, Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa) with the total investment of VND992.3 billion (US$43.6 million).

The project will be built on an area of 42.9 hectares in 3 phases. The VND300-billion (US$13.2 million) first phase will carry out site clearance work and complete the project’s dossiers and procedures, construct 1-2-storey bungalows (cca. 25,500sq.m), an entertainment area (about 26,900sq.m), resort management (530sq.m), resettlement area (about 23,700sq.m), internal roads, green trees, and some other auxiliary items.
In the second phase, with a total investment of VND300 billion (US$13.2 million), will construct the festival area (about 16,160sq.m), a four-star hotel (about 9,270sq.m), internal roads, landscaping, and more auxiliary items.
The third phase will invest VND393,2 billion to build a five-star hotel (about 10,000sq.m), a golf club (about 32,200sq.m), an auxiliary area (about 4,100sq.m), and other items.
The project is expected to start the first phase in the third quarter of 2018 and complete it in the first quarter of 2020. The second phase will be started in the four quarter of 2019 to be finished in the first quarter of 2021. The last phase will be completed in the four quarter of 2021.
Thanh Hoa province received 7 million tourists in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%. 189,000 arrivals came from abroad, up 22.3% against last year, and more than 6 million were domestic tourists, up 11.2% from last year. Thanh Hoa tourism revenue exceeded VND8 trillion (US$352 million), according to the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
