Various activities in Hanoi to celebrate children’s day

The five-day festival, held exclusively for Hanoi children, will offer a wide range of activities on the occasion of World Children’s Day.

The “Children’s World” festival, an annual event with educational activities and art performances, is underway from May 27 to June 1 at the Vietnam Exhibition, Culture and Art Centre in Hanoi to celebrate World's Children Day (June 1).

A highlight of the event is the exhibition entitled “Vietnamese children - Proudly growing up with the country” which features pictures, artifacts and documents showing President Ho Chi Minh’s care for children and adolescents.

There are also other two exhibitions of “Uncle Ho with children, children with Uncle Ho” and “Vietnam - Cuba solidarity”, featuring 120 paintings by children selected from drawing competitions for 2022 held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the organizer, these drawing contests aim at educating Vietnamese children about pride and respect for President Ho Chi Minh; encouraging them to follow the “ Five Uncle Ho’s Teachings for children and adolescents”; and celebrate the 62nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2022).

There are many interesting activities for children at the festival.

In addition, the little participants will have a chance to play with toys created from recycled materials at the display area themed “Experiencing science, technology and creativity”. They will be taught about robot development and its practical applications as well as experience assembling robots, alongside other interesting activities.

Alongside these exhibitions, some cultural and art exchange programs will also be organized on this occasion, including a dance performance of students and children-themed “the Green Dream Season”, the art show “Children’s Night” and water puppet performances.

The organizers hope that these activities would bring interesting experiences for local children and teenagers on the occasions of World Children’s Day and the summer holiday.
