Vietnam affirms its intellectuals and skills in World Qualification Exam

At the 44th World Qualification Exam in the United Arab Emirates, Vietnamese contestant Nguyen Ba Phuoc won the bronze medal of IT Software Solution, contestant Nguyen Van Tuan won the certificate for excellent engineering CAD.




 

This is the second time Vietnam has won the bronze medal in World Qualification Exam and the two winners are trained by Samsung Group and Samsung Vietnam (all costs of training, interpreters for 15 months, taking exams in Abu Dhabi with a total cost of over 6 billion VND). Nguyen Ba Phuoc and Nguyen Van Tuan are two contestants selected by Samsung from the National Skills Competition of Vietnam in 2016, then sent to be trained at Samsung World Training Center (Korea) for 15 months, from July 2016 to September 2017.
 


 

This is not the first time that Samsung Electronics and Samsung Vietnam have sponsored Vietnamese candidates for the World Qualification Exam. By 2015, at World Competitive Exam held in  Sao Paulo (Brazil), contestant Nguyen Duy Thanh, the IT Software Solution trainee, has gained the highest achievement in the history of Vietnam's participation from previous years, with bronze medal. The remaining competitor is Nguyen Duc Thanh, the content of CAD engineering design also won the certificate of excellence. Currently, two candidates are working in R & D department of Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV, Bac Ninh) and Samsung Vietnam Research and Development Center (SVMC, Hanoi).

According to Samsung Vietnam General Manager Shim Won Hwan, after two competitions with Vietnamese contestants, Samsung can affirm to the world about Vietnamese's intellectuals and skills as well as their efforts and determination. Supporting the development of human resources and skills transfer for Vietnam is also one of the commitments under Samsung's long-term investment strategy in Vietnam. Samsung also has plans for two contestants returning from this year's competition.
