The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently released Official Letter No. 3962/UBND-KT, giving opinion on participating Vietnam Craft Fair 2017 (Craftviet 2017).

The Hanoi People’s Committee received proposal of the Hanoi Promotion Agency on sending mission to Vietnam Craft Fair 2017. Accordingly, the fair will take place from November 9 to 13 at the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion (No. 489 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi). Organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development annually, it aims to promote the brands and products and enhance value of traditional craft villages and new occupations, thus contributing to protecting cultural identity and restructuring the rural labor force.
Craftviet 2017 expects to attract 350 stalls of occupational villages in Vietnam and abroad. It will offer handicrafts and farm products, scientific, technological advances in the field of agriculture production, and standard models of agriculture production. There will also be sideline activities, such as specialized seminars on environment of occupational villages, tours to occupational villages, brand building for craft products, and supply - demand in developing traditional products.
The stall of Hanoi covers an area of 108 square meters, introducing the city’s achievement in agriculture and rural development, farm products and handicrafts, and items of Hanoi craft villages and enterprises.
After considering the proposal, the Municipal People’s Committee agrees in principle to attend Craftviet 2017. The Hanoi Promotion Agency is in charge of cooperating with Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Finance, associations, enterprises and relevant units to process procedures, attend the fair, and report result to the Municipal People’s Committee.
