Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, noted that Hanoi’s exports have grown strongly.
It is essential for the city to expand beyond major traditional markets such as ASEAN, the US, the EU, China and Japan to sustain momentum, he said.
Hiep added that the four-day fair provided businesses with opportunities to connect with partners, importers and distributors, showcase their products, boost sales and strengthen their brands.
“The fair strengthens Hanoi’s commitment to supporting businesses in trade promotion, leveraging free trade agreements, diversifying markets and advancing toward sustainable, deeper global integration,” the industry and trade deputy director said.
According to the department, the city targets a 7% export growth in 2025. So far, Hanoi’s businesses have exported goods to 205 countries and territories.
Export turnover has risen by 12.3% year-on-year in January-August of 2025, with major items including agricultural products, textiles, footwear, electronics, machinery, glassware, vehicles, ceramics and wooden products.
