Vietnam finds more Egyptian investment

The Embassy of Vietnam in Egypt in collaboration with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce organized a workshop on January 26 in Cairo aimed at soliciting investment in the Southeast Asian nation.

Speaking at the seminar, attended by representatives of more than 17 enterprises, Vietnam Ambassador to Egypt Dao Thanh Chung briefed those in attendance on the investment climate and opportunities. Over the past few years, the Embassy of Vietnam has cooperated with the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce on many occasions to organize trade and investment workshops and seminars.

In 2014, the two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Egypt reached US$320 million, US$100 million higher than 2013, and it is forecast to jump to US$400 million in 2015. At the event, Egyptian businesses paid due attention to the investment environment in Vietnam and asked many practical questions.
