Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen The Thao received the French delegation led by Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad during the working visit to Vietnam on April 15 in Hanoi.
In the open and frankly atmosphere of dialogues, Vietnam and France have agreed on the necessity of strengthening the coordination in removing obstacles to accelerate the bilateral cooperation projects, especially in the field of urban transport and education.
Chairman Nguyen The Thao said that Hanoi People's Committee has directed the municipal authorities to rapidly complete the clearance of building of Alexandre Yersin School project for the French community living and working in Hanoi and Vietnam.
The city also ensured to complete the clearance of construction projects including College of Medicine, University of Science and Technology (in Hoa Lac Industrial Park).
For the construction of urban railway No.3 projects, Chairman Nguyen The Thao suggested that French equipment supplier should soonly introduce the model of ship for the municipal authorities considering and making opinions of local people.
With the package of train ticket booking, Chairman Nguyen The Thao said French partner should provide for Vietnam with modern equipments and the lowest cost.
Minister Matthias Fekl highly appreciated the efforts of the city government in the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects, especially in the construction of Alexandre Yersin School project.
The Minister said that he will report to French government to strengthen the coordination in removing obstacles to accelerate the implemantation of projects in Hanoi.
Minister Matthias Fekt also affirmed France always respect the recommendations of Hanoi to complete the projects which will represent a symbol of Vietnam - France friendship.
