With the photo collection "Cap Sac ceremony of Dao Tien ethnic minority people", Vietnamese photographer Trinh Thong Thien won the first prize of photos and documentary films festival on ASEAN Community.
Ministry of Information and Communications held a ceremony in Hanoi on December 15 to award the winners of photos and documentary films festival on ASEAN Community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son affirmed through the festival, Vietnam wants to contribute to the process of forming an unified ASEAN Community with solidarity, identity, diversity and unity.
The organising board received 1,489 photos and photo collections and 113 reportages and documentaries from ASEAN member countries.
At the event, two first prizes were presented to Vietnamese photographer Trinh Thong Thien with a photo collection (Cap Sac ceremony of Dao Tien ethnic minority people) and Myanmar film director Shune Lei Thar for the documentary themed "What are human rights?".
In addition, the organizing board also awarded four second prizes, six third prizes and nine consolation prizes.
