Google is considering procedures to set up a representative office in Vietnam on the basis of compatibility between local and international laws.
Deputy Prime Minister Hue is confident that Vietnam gathers favorable conditions for Google to set up its representative office in the country, the governmental portal reported.
In a meeting with Senior Vice President of Google Kent Walker on November 11, Hue pointed to a highly potential market and adaptive capability of Vietnam’s young population as decisive factors.
Kent Walker said Google is considering procedures to set up a representative office in Vietnam on the basis of compatibility between local and international laws.
Throughout a series of meeting with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, Walker said he is impressed with the high level of technology application, as well as Vietnam’s target of training 1 million IT engineers of international standards.
