The Vietnam futsal team won the fair play award following their impressive performance at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The Vietnam futsal team only received four yellow cards during four matches and they earned a ticket to compete in the round of 16 of the event.
Vietnam beat Guatemala 4-2 and lost to Paraguay and Italy 1-7 and 0-2 in the group round. In the round of 16, Vietnam lost to Russia 0-7.
The tournament wrapped up in Colombia on October 2, with Argentina claiming the title after defeating Russia 5-4. Iran took third place after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal following a 2-2 draw.
