The program gathers many artists who are admired by young people such as Hyolyn and MCND from South Korea, and Hoang Thuy Linh, Duc Phuc, and Suni Ha Linh from Vietnam.

With the meaning “Vietnam-Korea light up the future together”, the event will start at 7pm on September 9 with an exhibition of traditional Cheongsa Chorong lanterns of South Korea and traditional Hoi An lanterns of Vietnam.

On September 10 and 11, the lamp-lighting ceremony will create a brilliant lantern path along with performances of "Dynamite" (BTS) and "Heal The World" (Michael Jackson) performed by the Vietnamese- Korean children choir (founded in April 2021, including 60 children from both countries).

In addition, the event will also have other performances such as "Samulnori" by students of Vietnam-Korea International School, K-pop dance, traditional games, and a cultural exchange experiences program between the two countries.

This is an event organized by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Korean Ambassador Park Noh-wan said that the organizing board wanted to send wishes for a happy future to the people of the two countries.

“I hope this festival will become an opportunity for the two countries to light up their future more and more like the Cheongsa Chorong and Hoi An lanterns shine brightly,” the Ambassador shared.

Park Noh-wan also expressed his wish that the festival will receive the attention and participation of a large number of Vietnamese people.

"The Vietnam-Korea Lantern Cultural Festival takes place right on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hanoi, promising a variety of experience programs, unique lights and sounds, and extremely attractive performances,” said the Ambassador.
