First e-commerce on digital solutions launched in Vietnam
Noventiq launches the All-in-One E-commerce Solution in Vietnam to enable and outsource digital sales on software vendor’s websites. Users will find there a variety of services provided by leading IT developers like Adobe, Autodesk, Eset, Google, JetBrains, and Microsoft.
Vietnam’s rice export price highest in 10 years
Vietnam’s rice export price has hit an average of US$517/ton this year, the highest over the past decade. Between January and May, the country’s rice exports reached $2.02, up 49% on year. Vietnam is the world’s third-largest rice exporter, after India and Thailand.

Hot waves strike Northern Vietnam
Hot waves continue to hit Vietnam's northern and central regions today [May 31], with average temperatures ranging from 34°C (degrees Celsius) to 37°C, up to 38°C in some places, including Hanoi. The hot weather is forecast to continue for another week. Meanwhile, the Central Highlands, South Central Coast, and the South report occasional rain.
Electric bus connects international airport in Hanoi
An electric bus named E10 connecting Ocean Park Urban Area in the city and Noi Bai International Airport will begin operating on July 1.
The 40-km route will have a frequency of 20 minutes. The electric bus was launched in Hanoi in 2022 with nine lines, namely E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E06, E07, E08, E09. All electric buses in the capital city are invested and operated by VinFast – a member of Vietnam’s conglomerate Vingroup, one of the largest private conglomerates in the country.
Vietnam’s super-rich doubles in five years
The number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UNHWI) in Vietnam doubled from 2017 to more than 1,000 in 2022, according to Knight Frank’s Wealth Report 2023. Knight Frank defines a “super-rich” as someone with a net worth of US$30 million after deducting all loans.
Vietnamese athletes leave for ASEAN Para Games
The Vietnamese sports contingent left Hanoi today to participate in the 12th ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia on June 3-9. The 163-member team aims to win 50-55 gold medals to finish in the top four at the Games, a biennial Southeast Asian multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities.
Vietnamese students win medals at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad
All six Vietnamese students who joined the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) 2023 won medals, including four silver and two bronze. The winners were selected from 1,471 contestants from 36 countries and territories in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)-like competition for delegations within the Asia and Western Pacific regions.
