NIC and Siemens to develop an innovative ecosystem in Vietnam
The National Innovation Center (NIC) and Siemens have partnered to develop an innovative ecosystem in Vietnam through a signed cooperation agreement on January 26 in Hanoi. The agreement leverages Siemens’ knowledge and experience in providing technology for Industry 4.0 and utilizes NIC's innovation network and advantages to support enterprises in innovation, global market access, and connecting Vietnamese businesses with Siemens' support programs and collaborations.
Siemens will sponsor 100 software licenses for design, manufacturing, and mechanical simulation for training in smart factory, particularly training semiconductor design engineers.
Samsung Vietnam launches technology talent training program
Samsung Vietnam kicked off the STEM membership program to search for and train technology talents on January 26. This is the first time the program is being implemented in Vietnam. STEM membership is a program aimed at identifying and training outstanding high school students in the field of science in various countries.
Since June 2023, the program has trained 10 exceptional students in Vietnam through STEM courses that incorporate innovative projects, programming, and Korean language training.
Nha Trang tourism promotion video clip released
On January 26, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) collaborated with the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism to release the video clip "Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa: Touching your heart!" This promotional product is part of the tourism communication program "Vietnam: Travel to Love!" on Youtube digital platform.
Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa is one of Vietnam's key tourist destinations, with unique cultural and historical values and rich tourism resources. It has developed into a high-end beach resort and attractive seaside entertainment destination in recent years.
Cat Tien National Park listed in the World Green List
Cat Tien National Park has completed the procedures to become the second unit in Vietnam to be included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Green List. The dossier of Cat Tien National Park has been independently reviewed by a group of experts for consideration and certification by the IUCN, expected to take place in 2024.
To achieve the World Green List, conservation areas must meet 17 criteria with 50 indicators. Currently, 77 conservation areas in 18 countries have been certified. Over 300 conservation areas in 60 countries participate in the World Green List application.
Three-km-long Tet fair sets Vietnamese record
The three-kilometer-long spring fair being held at Vinhomes’ Ocean City has been recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as the largest-scale Tet (Lunar New Year) fair in Vietnam in 2024. The Vietnam Record certification was presented to Vinhomes representative during the opening ceremony of the spring fair at the Grand World Hanoi super complex on January 26. This also marks the start of Tet events organized at the 1,200-hectare Grand World Ocean City, Gia Lam District, Hanoi, featuring over 400 booths selling regional specialties, imported goods, flower markets, ornamental plants, and Tet decorations.
