Vietnam sea and island culture-tourism week kicks off

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) in cooperation with the Hanoi People’s Committee held a culture and tourism week at the Culture and Arts Exhibition Culture, Hanoi.

Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien and local representatives.

Vietnam has over 3,200 km of coastline and more than 1 million miles of exclusive economic zone of the sea.
There are over 2770 tangible and intangible heritages stretching along the coast such as Ha Long Islands, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Hue and Hue's royal court music, etc ....
The event was first held in Hanoi to introduce Vietnamese people and international visitors to cultural values of Vietnam’s coastal regions and tourism potential of the country’s seas and islands.
The 2014 culture and tourism also aims to raise awareness and responsibility of ethnic communities in managing, preserving and promoting the cultural values of islands, natural resources, a marine environment and safeguarding the Vietnam’s island sovereignty.
 
 
 
The exhibition showcased photos of landscapes, tangible and intangible heritages, artifacts of the Vietnam’s waters.
