At the meeting, the two sides briefed each other about the organizational structure, functions, tasks and activities of the women's union of each country.

Ambassador Doan Thi Huong outlined some of the traditions of Vietnamese women in fighting against foreign invaders, gaining independence for the nation as well as their great contributions to national construction and economic development.

The ambassador stressed that the Vietnam Women's Union has been creative in its activities and mobilization work. “Creative women for start-ups” is an important feminist campaign currently underway by the Vietnamese Women’s Union.

Many Vietnamese women become successful entrepreneurs and excellent farmers. The percentage of women in the Communist Party affiliation and state agencies is on the rise. The role and status of Vietnamese women in society are increasingly asserted and enhanced.

Ambassador Doan Thi Huong also introduced some Vietnam’s famous tourist attractions and handicrafts.

For her part, Chairwoman B.Oyungerel showed her admiration for the Vietnamese women as well as the organizational method of the Vietnam Women's Union.

She wishes to cooperate with the Vietnam Women's Union to exchange experiences in building and developing the Mongolia Women's Union.

In the immediate future, B.Oyungerel asked the Vietnam embassy to serve as the linkage so that her organization can cooperate in tourism and handicrafts teaching for Mongolian women.

Appreciating the performance of the Mongolian Women's Union, Huong said that B.Oyungerel’s proposals for cooperation with Vietnam are in line with the spirit of the signed cooperation agreement between Vietnam and Mongolia at the 16th session of the Intergovernmental Committee.

Vietnam with numerous beautiful sceneries, is an attractive tourist destination. At the same time, the country is strong in garment and handicraft production. Vietnamese people are skillful and hard-working, Huong commented.

The Embassy of Vietnam will actively work  with the authorities of both countries so that the cooperation ideas soon become reality, Huong stressed.
