Vietnam – Ukraine Friendship Association of Hanoi votes new executive committee
On Sep 10, the Vietnam – Ukraine Friendship Association of Hanoi has held the 3th congress for the period of 2017-2022.
At the congress, representatives were briefed on the performance report of the Vietnam – Ukraine Friendship Association of Hanoi session II for the period of 2012-2017 and the direction for session III for the period of 2017-2022.
As such, in the last 3 years, depsite the difficulties of the global political – economic situation, the bilateral relationship between Vietnam – US has progressed significantly, which is more practical and comprehensive. In this context, based on the previous achievements, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam – Ukraine Friendship Association of Hanoi had consistenly conducted many measures and achieved positive results. The association also listed out operation guidelines for the next 5-year-period.
On the next tenure, the association will be continuous bridge for cooperation of Hanoi and Ukraine’s cities in economy, tourism, trade; via attending social and friendship activities held by Hanoi’s Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO). Besides, the association heads to promote Hanoi-Kiev trade tie via meetings between bilateral enterprises.
The congress witnessed Executive Committee being selected for the period of 2017-2022 with 18 members. Mr Tran Thanh Binh – former Head of Institute of School Design Research was chosen as President of Vietnam – Ukraine Friendship Association in the new tenure. Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice President of HAUFO – Can Viet Anh highly appreciated significant activities of the association during the past time. He also back the operation guidelines proposed for the next tenure. Congratulating the new Executive Committee, Viet Anh hopes that they would develop achievement, contributing to enhance People-to-people foreign relations between Hanoi and other cities in the world in line with motto: “proactive, flexible, creative and effective”.
