The workshop offers a chance for local schools to get an insight into Spain’s education and promote collaboration in this field with their Spanish counterparts. Juan Carlos Izquierdo, Director of Spain’s GEC Education Service Centre, said Spain ranks third in the world in term of the number of international students. As the second most important language, Spanish is spoken by more than 20 countries worldwide, he added.
The land, people and education of Spain were introduced at a workshop in Vietnam, which is expected to help the Vietnamese locality access educational cooperation opportunities with the European nation.
Juan Carlos Izquierdo stressed huge opportunities for students in Vietnam to learn in the country. Apart from good living and studying conditions and reasonable living costs, the Spanish Government has also put forth a range of incentives to support university and post-graduate students, he said. Describing Vietnam as a rapidly developing country with robust international cooperation, he stressed the need for Vietnamese students to equip themselves with foreign languages to join the nation’s integration process.
The municipal Department of Education and Training said that international scholarships and those funded by the Spanish Government will come to senior high schools in Vietnam in the coming time.
