Vietnam`s Pham Trinh Phuong Thanh took first prize for best cartoon in a contest entitled Talk ! Talk ! Korea launched by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
Thanh's web cartoon (webtoon) convinced the judges with a simple design and good story. The webtoon entitled A Hole in The Garden is about a dream of discovering Korea.
Thanh will be awarded a trip to the Republic of Korea for five days and four nights.
The contest has six categories including photo; webtoon; postcard; calligraphy; video-Arirang and video-ad.
Vietnam's Nguyen Thi Truc Ly won second prize in the postcard category and Pham Minh Thang took third at the category of calligraphy.
Eight others from Vietnam won fourth prizes in five categories.
This year nearly 16,000 entries from 143 countries and territories in the world participated in the contest.
The contest has been held annually since 2012.
