Vu Thanh Tam, Associate Dean and lecturer of Russian Language Faculty at the Da Nang University of Foreign Language Studies won two awards in the third “Best Foreign Teacher of Russian Language and Literature” competition.
She grabbed dual awards for her outstanding pronunciation and eloquence.
The competition was part of Russia’s efforts to promote its culture worldwide in recent years, Tam said.
Approximately 1,000 teachers of Russian language from 60 countries across the globe attended the qualifying round of the competition.
Tam was among 15 finalists competition in the final round held in Moscow from October 21.
The annual contest was firstly launched in 2013 with the hope of popularising the Russian language around the world and improving the capability of foreign teachers in their teaching of Russian language and literature.
