Vietnamese team wins the championship at Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2015
Vietnam beated Hong Kong (China) 5-1 in the finale on August 23 and was crowned champion at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2015 held in Indonesia.
This year’s contest, themed “Robot badminton”, attracted the participation of 19 teams.
The Vietnamese team involves students from the Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
In the qualifying round of Group C, Vietnam won victory over Japan and Kazakhstan and then surpassed Japan and the host in the quarterfinal and semi-final with impressive score of 5-1.
This is the fifth time Vietnamese students have won the title since the contest was launched in 2002.
