Vietnam's official holiday schedule for April

Laborers will be on the anniversary of the Hung Kings` death anniversary on Lunar March 10 and the Liberation Day on April 30, International Labor Day on May 1.

On the Liberation Day and International Labor Day, cadres and civil servants will take four consecutive days off from April 28 to May 1. April 28 and 29 are weekends, April 30 and May 1 are holidays.

Accordingly, for units that do not implement two days of weekend, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) requires the units to base themselves on their specific plan to allocate suitable holiday.

The MoLISA noted that the agencies implementing the holiday plan should arrange reasonable working units to handle the work continuously, ensuring good service to the people.

Employees who are not entitled to a holiday due to job characteristics or to work on a public holiday shall be entitled to a paid holiday, at least equal to 300%.
