According to the organising board of Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2016, which will take place in Hanoi from April 14-17, Russian tourists will be honourable guests at the Vietnam’s leading tourism show.
Russia has made significant changes in the world’s tourism market in the recent years. Russian tourists have suspended their tours to Egypt and Turkey due to plane crashes and political tension.
At present, Vietnam has been ranked the fourth in the most popular destinations for Russian tourists.
With the rate of 60% chosen by Russian visitors, Khanh Hoa province has become Vietnam’s most attractive destination for Russian people. Phu Quoc in Kien Giang province and Mui Ne in Binh Thuan province are also among ideal localities for long holiday.
During the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2016 themed “Vietnam – the paradise of sea and island tourism”, tours linking Hanoi with Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces will be provided to Russian tourists.
VITM 2016, which will take place dozens of seminars, workshops and presentations, is the largest tourism forum in 2016.
Up to now, the organising board has received official registrations of 535 travel companies from 24 countries and territories across the world with 465 booths.
The show is expected to attract about 62,000 people to visit and purchase tourism products.
To meet increasing travel demand, Vietnamese airlines plan to provide 20,000 promotional fares. Travel agents target to provide 15,000 tours with 20-30-% discounts.
